Samaneh Hashemikia was born in Zanjan, Iran, 04 April 1986.

She obtained her diploma in mathematics and physics from NODET high school (National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents). Afterward, She received her B.Sc. degree in Textile Engineering from the Isfahan University of Technology. She was the first-class honors in the Textile Engineering faculty of the Isfahan University of Technology for undergraduate studies in 2008 and was granted credit for straight admittance to the MSc program of Isfahan University of Technology 2008. But she participated in the university entrance exam for M.S. Degree and was ranked top 1%. So she continued her studies at the Amirkabir University of Technology – Tehran Polytechnic, Iran, in Textile Engineering-Textile chemistry and fiber science (2008-2010).

Her M.Sc. project was about the stabilizing of nano TiO2 with carboxylic acids on the cotton/polyester knitted fabric to self-cleaning and multi-functional finishing, and as a result of her great performance in her M.Sc., she was the first-class honors in Textile Engineering Faculty of the Amirkabir University of Technology.

She starts her Ph.D. program in Textile Engineering at the Amirkabir University of Technology (January 2011). Her Ph.D. program had been focused on the preparation of drug delivery systems, based on silica nanostructure, to finish cellulosic medical textiles.

Currently, she is working as a quality control lab responsible in Global Textile Alliance company in  Belgium.
